As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of visiting numerous venues across Florida, but few places have captured my heart quite like the Mission Resort + Club. Located in the charming town of Howey-in-the-Hills, this venue is a hidden gem in the heart of Central Florida, offering an exquisite blend of Spanish architecture and lush landscapes that create the perfect setting for a dream wedding.
A Warm Welcome at Mission Resort + Club
Our recent tour of the Mission Resort + Club was nothing short of extraordinary. We were fortunate to have Adilen and her wonderful team as our guides. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home, answering every question with enthusiasm and warmth. Their knowledge of the venue and dedication to ensuring each wedding is unique and memorable was truly impressive.
During our tour, we took the opportunity to ask Adilen and her team 10 questions that couples often have when considering a wedding venue.
Adilen, What ceremony and reception spaces are available, and how many guests can each accommodate?
Ceremony
• Plaza de la Fontana – 250 ppl
• Legends Courtyard – 150 ppl
• Marina del Rey – 225 ppl
Reception
• Marina del Rey – 100 ppl
• La Hacienda – 150 ppl
• Legends Ballroom – 140 ppl
• El Nuevo Ballroom – 300 ppl
Can we customize the wedding packages, or are they set options?
Yes, couples are able to customize their wedding packages based on what’s important to them.
What is included in the wedding packages, and are there any additional fees?
We offer A La Carte and All-Inclusive Packages. Depending on which of the packages the couple books, they have different offerings ranging from floor length linen, glass charger, Chiavari chairs, and a selection of vendors.
What is the backup plan in case of inclement weather?
The weather backup for each of our outdoor spaces is the indoor reception venue the couple books.
Are there on-site accommodations for our guests, and what are the rates?
We have accommodations onsite for the guests and rates vary depending on occupancy. Couples can contract a room block at a discounted group rate.
Can we arrange a menu tasting with the catering team before making our final decisions?
Menu tastings are scheduled after the couple has contracted their wedding and they usually take place 3-4 months prior to the wedding date.
What is the policy on bringing in outside vendors, such as photographers or florists?
The resort offers a preferred vendor list, however, couples are allowed to bring outside vendors as long as they are licensed and insured. We do require a Certificate of Insurance from each of our vendors prior to the wedding.
Are there restrictions on decor or entertainment, such as music volume or lighting?
If couples are hosting their reception outdoors, we do have a 10pm noise ordinance. For indoor venues, they are not able to affix any décor to the walls.
What wedding planning services or day-of coordination do you offer?
In our All-Inclusive Package we include a month of wedding planner.
What are the next steps if we decide to book our wedding at the Mission Resort + Club?
Once the couple is ready to move forward with their wedding at our resort, we send them a contract to confirm the date and space along with a 25% non-refundable deposit request.
Last Question, I promise! What’s the starting price for a weekday and weekend wedding, off season pricing if you offer and all inclusive pricing.
Our A La Carte per person pricing starts at $139++ per person and venue fees start at $3,500 and up, depending on the day of the week. All Inclusive Package pricing for up to 40 guests starts at $25,000.
