The sun-kissed shores of Boca Grande, nestled on Gasparilla Island, are a photographer’s paradise. This picturesque haven, with its pristine beaches and breathtaking natural beauty, provides the perfect backdrop for capturing timeless family portraits. It’s no surprise that Amanda and her son Harrison, chose this idyllic location for their family photo session in Boca Grande.
Before starting their family portraits, we met Amanda and Harrison for a delicious lunch at the iconic Pink Elephant. Over burgers we got to know each other better, sharing stories and laughter while discussing Amanda’s vision for the session.
We started out on a small peer right next to the restaurant to get a feel for Harrison’s comfort level in front of the camera.
Though rain threatened to dampen our spirits, a veil of overcast skies blanketed Boca Grande, creating a unique and soft light that promised to be perfect for capturing family portraits. While we hoped the skies would clear, we embraced the atmospheric conditions, knowing that the overcast light would add a touch of dreaminess and ethereal beauty to the photographs.
